Boomer is a weird bike. Way back when Yamaha created the Virago, the first Japanese V-twin cruiser, they decided that the torquey V-twin should reside in more than just a cruiser, so they created the 920R, also known as the EuroTwin . This is basically a virago with different forks, wheels, swingarm, and with an enclosed final chain drive. I found this one for cheap, fixed the head gasket and some other problems, replaced the bars and forks, had a one-off seat made, and now use her as a fun-and-games bike. The bike originally had a horrible two into two drag pipe style set of pipes, which were both loud, ugly, and way too low. I managed to scare up a MAC 2-1 full system that’s much quieter and actually an enhancement for performance. It also doesn’t drag at all.
Boomer is for sale. 19,500 miles or so. Here are some detail pictures (Large, too):
